Planning Stage

Project Plan

Lists the phases, activities, tasks and resources required to complete the project and realize the business benefits outlined in the Project Business Case.

Resource Plan

Identifies the physical resources required to complete the project (e.g. labor, equipment and materials) and schedules the resource utilisation.

Financial Plan

Outlines the financial expenditure required to undertake the project. Financial schedules identifying planned expenditure are included.

Quality Plan

Describes the approach taken to ensure the quality of the deliverables produced by the project. This includes a list of the quality criteria and standards to be achieved as well as the Quality Assurance and Control techniques to be undertaken.

Risk Plan

Outlines the foreseeable project risks and provides a set of actions to be taken to both prevent the risk from occurring as well as reduce the impact of the risk should it eventuate.

Acceptance Plan

Identifies the milestones, criteria, and standards for the acceptance of project deliverables by the customer.

Communications Plan

Provides a schedule of information to be provided to all project stakeholders to keep them regularly informed of the progress of the project.

Procurement Plan

Lists the products to be sourced and the methods and timeframes for acquiring products from external suppliers.

Tender Management Process

Describes the process by which interested suppliers are identified, evaluated and selected for the supply of products to the project.

Statement of Work

Defines the procurement requirements of the project to enable potential suppliers to determine if they are able to meet those detailed requirements.

Request for Information

A document which is issued by the project to a wide group of potential suppliers to enable those suppliers to provide summarized information outlining how they will meet the procurement requirements of the project.

Request for Proposal

A document which is issued by a project to a short-listed group of suppliers to enable the suppliers to submit a detailed proposal outlining how they will meet the procurement requirements of the project.

Supplier Contract

An agreement between the project team and an external supplier for the acquisition of a defined set of products.

Tender Management Register

The log within which all tender correspondence is registered and tracked through to completion.

Stage Gate Review Form (Planning)

Used to review the success of the project to date and formally request approval to proceed to the Project Execution phase.
