Software Services

ThoughtWare's software services specialise in applications for the Apple Macintosh® personal computer, small or large, from business applications to database applications to specialist software.

Our preferred programming environment for the Apple Macintosh is FutureBASIC, a thoroughly modern, high-level language that enables rapid development of Mac applications running at speeds comparable to those achieved with C++, and can produce applications capable of running on Macs from the original 68K machines to the latest running OSX.

Our preferred programming environments for Windows and cross-platform are REALbasic, a sophisticated object-oriented language based on BASIC and Runtime Revolution, an advanced scripted system, both of which produce native code for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.

The programming services we offer include:

• Translate software from other languages to run on a Mac
• Update your old software to a modern, OS9 and OSX-compatible language
• If you are programming in FutureBASIC but need assistance for certain aspects, we can work on sub-projects within your main application
